I commented on Praline's blog, but I also wanted to tell you thanks for helping her start the blog. She will be such an inspiration to other tweens/teens that are either currently locing or thinking about doing so in the future. My daughter is 10-years old, natural, and very interested in locs, but we haven't made the final decision to do that yet. I will be showing her Praline's blog tonight, so I know she will be bugging me about it again!! Praline's hair is beautiful and she has such confidence! Keep up the good work!

Her blog is the most precious thing ever! "What is the location of the Pecan tree Praline is standing next too?"

Thank you all so much for stopping by, she read each comment with all smiles and she's working on another post tonight.

Cloudnine, that pic was taken at the Oakland Plantation on Cane River at the Creole National Park. It was a wonderful experience and she was fasinated with the huge pecans from the tree that was from the 18th century.

You are truly blessed you have such a beautiful family. Your daughter is too cute and I think her blog is a great inspiration for other young girls to embrace their natural hair. I also like the warning to the weirdos.

What a great blog! It made me smile (: I also love how she is growing up with a love for her hair in its natural state. Thanks for sharing the link.

I just finished "Red River" by Latita Tademy. It is funny she mentioned an old landmark Pecan tree but it is in Grant Parish...not like Louisiana has just one:)
