Wrap it Up!

I found a cute little Juicy scarf at Nordstrom last week and decided to play with it by wrapping up my locks. The weather has been so nice the past few days and I could actually wear my hair up without the cold breeze on my neck.

Oh, the attention I received...for whatever reason my locks seemed to glow right through the wrap, now I'm getting the itch and ready for a visit to the local fabric store.

Here I'm working through a computer situation and Roux decided to snap me in thought?? Well, I decided to keep it since he thought he was so being funny! ha ha, Roux..Mom still loves ya!

Love the look! What is that pink i see in your hair? Is that a scrunchie or part of the fabric?

From the south ---- "thanks ya'll"

Sunsail,
Yes, that is part of the fabric and is on both ends of the scarf. I'll have to take a pic of the scarf so you can fully view it. It's really cute and since I can't wear hats I think I may try making my own now.

Brunsli,
That's a good idea, I will.

Creyole,

I have been on a journey, YOURS! I am proud to say that over the last two weeks I went back to the very beginning and I read the whole Creyole's Sisterlock Exodus. I am even more convinced that this is the best decision for my hair. I have my initial consultation with GIGI on March 16, 2007. I feel so blessed that GIGI fit me into her schedule based upon YOUR recommendation of, (referral to) her. I feel so connected. I am also trying to make an appointment with Elaine. In the meantime, I am going to continue learning to LOVE and care for my natural hair. I may even wait until you are a certified consultant. You go woman, with your creative and skillful self. Your sister's hair is beautiful!

Summary...

...I love the blog you did on exercise. Mrs. T is truly militant and does our body justice. After class, I am like wow, she actually got my body to do this for an hour and I did not even pass out! I have been working our STRONG and consistently (4 days per week) since 10/18/2007) and I lost 24 pounds so far. I have 16 pounds to go. To God, I give all of the glory!

...I Love the HISTORY lessons you provided... I am originally from CA and my Mama moved us (my two sisters and I) to Texas to get us to know our "roots" before we became women. We have 5 generations alive and there is so much information to gather, collect, and record. Unless you know your HISTORY you don't really know, Know, KNOW the (who, what, when, and where of your existence!) After moving to Texas I now know why my name sounds so “country”. This knowledge has helped me LOVE my name. I go by my whole name (first, middle and last). I will expand more when I start working on my own blogspot...

...Thanks for inviting me to the DFW Gathering in Waco. I unfortunately missed the event due to food poisioning. I was in the Emergency Room because I got dehydrated, I was IVed and now I am better. Thank you God! I made it to aerobics Sat. So I will see you in class on Monday! I WISH I WAS THERE... I PLAN TO BE AT THE NEXT EVENT! Thanks for the advanced notice so I can start preparing for a babysitter, if my husband has to work.

...I visisted Praline's blogspot and gave her praises for her wonderful performance in the Christmas show this year. My twins and I are watching this DVD today! So far we have watched it back to back twice. They like to do repeat viewings... I like to watch with them to see what they are being exposed to since I am their FIRST teacher.

…My next stop is BlaqKofi ... I have the next 23 to 24 days off from graduate school to relax my mind, worship and praise God, exercise my body, learn about Sisterlocks, continue to learn to LOVE and care for my natural hair, play with my children and find different ways to show my husband I love him and that I thank God for him, and clean up my house (room by room)!

I hope you don't mind how long my post is. I have so much to say. I am so, So, SO excited about this SISTERLOCKS process!

Creyole-

I just love that look...I am a hat and scarf fan and have been looking for a way to wear scarfs and have found a style in you that I can wear..I wore my hair in a scarf over the summer for a wedding...You are truly working it..I cant wait until this cold spell in Chicago goes away so that I can start to rock my scarfs.
