My Girl Serena, Why the WIG??

While I was not able to watch the final match this past weekend, I certainly followed the winning path. Had I been available to watch the final I don't know that I would have because of the pure anxiety I experience each time Serena misses a return or serve.

Serena was unseeded and ranked No. 81 in the world entering the tournament and beat Sharapova, 6-1, 6-2. I really dislike Sharapova's attitude and arragancy. The world cheers for her because of her so called toughness and beautiful body and we all know what the world admires the most!

I wish I could wake up one morning and have a tight body like Serena's! The girl is baaaad, I imagine Serena's body looks a lot like the one God gave Eve when he created her!

I could not resist posting about this because it is bitter sweet, I loved the WIN but the WIG...ugh! I'm sorry Serena....please let it go! Of all the hair styles, why the shiney wig with the fake part that the camera's kept getting close ups of???? Serena, if you ever stumble upon my blog and you are looking for a wonderful hairstyle, please come on Home! Didn't you just want to pull that wig off while the sweat was pouring from your head? Please my sister there is no place like Home!

Look at Sharapova, she hates losing (I do admire that) but she has poor sportsmanship conduct and I can't blame Serena for rubbing it in!!!

This is such a funny post!!! She definitely needs to come on home to naturalness, nappiness, or lockness... Everyone one knows wigs/weaves don't mix with sweat..............................

It seems like only yesterday I was watching Serena and Venus in braids and beads. Perhaps finding their way home won't be far off.

I watched the match and it was awesome. Serena beat that chile's behind, and bad! Sharapova's poor attitude and sportsmanship was put out there for the whole world to see. Also, she was fined $5000 when her father was caught giving her hand signals.

As for the hair.....It really did look awful and fake. Maybe one day both Serena and Venus will inadvertently log onto a Sisterlock blog, see the light, and come home. One can only hope.

All, Ha! I share you sentiments exactly!

Alise,
What I did not hear about the fine and good for both of them! I bet the media did everything in their power to keep that on the down-low.

I dislike the whole family because they are so dirty and ugly! And now, CHEATERS!!! To me, that ranks right up there with lying....humpf!

I don't follow tennis, but I'm in awe of both Venus and Serena. However, it always make you wonder about folks in the public eye who clearly have loads of money - why do they allow themselves to not look their best? And I'm not just talking about caught in bad lighting or no makeup. That is just bad, obviously fake hair. Why, girl, why?

I agree, the wig didn't seem to be too ready for the world of tennis.. Maybe since they are millionaires now, the Williams sisters think they have to have wigs and all the weave hair.. Off the court Serena's hair usually looks nice, weave and all.. but on the court it's not the right move. Maybe they will both come around, since natural hair is the way to go now.

Can I get an Amen...she is off the hook! But, that WIG or weave too tacky...Let's sign a petition:)

I sooo!! AGREE!! I LOVE to exercise and I LOVE to play tennis! I have been doing so for almost a year ( I am horrible but I love it). Natural hair is the BEST if you love to work out

I REALLY! admire the Williams sisters Sisterlocks would be ideal for them. But I don't they will see that in the near future.

Too true! For all their talent and beauty (AND MONEY!!!) The Williams sisters have had one SHAMEFUL HAIR TRAGEDY after another. Locks would be just the thing!

Sometimes I wonder what people see when they look in the mirror...(or at photos...or video and film footage)

Hard to say what the prevailing attitudes on hair were in their household, though. There's obviously some ambivalence 'cuz their Mom has SLs that she covers with wigs, so... it may be a while before they make peace with their natural hair.

I would love to see them sport SLs though. Imagine the exposure! So many more people would get curious and want to learn more about them.

*sigh* a girl can dream...

I agree the the William sisters look absoultely ridulous!!! They are so much going for them and with a mum sporting sistelocks, this should be some inspiration. I don't think that they have yet learned that a woman's hair is her beauty

Why not just her regular hair? Except for the bald spots, it couldn't be worse.
