ATLANTA (AP) – Yolanda King, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s eldest child who pursued her father’s dream of racial harmony through drama and motivational speaking, has died. She was 51.King died late Tuesday in Santa Monica, California, said Steve Klein, a spokesman for the King Center. The family did not know the cause of death, but relatives think it might have been a heart problem, he said.

Yes,I heard about it this am on the radio. So sad to die so young. I do know she was quite talented and tried to make difference the way her father did.

It is devastating to lose another one of our Black icons. Somehow I was hoping that I heard the news wrong. She will definitely be missed.
