Locks on the Slopes!

We had a blast getting away from the flat lands of Texas! The mountains were so majestic and each time we visit mountain areas I fall deeper in love with Jesus for creating such wonderful views of his earth!
I love my Casio Exilim 7.2 because it produced fabulous pictures. This pic is one of my favorite mountain shots of the slopes from the ride on the ski lift!

Praline, Roux and Beignet are always in competition to see who can get down the mountain the fastest and I'm always left behind enjoying the beautiful scenery of the snow and trees. Conversating with other skiers as I slowly and carefully make it down without injury!! Roux always seems to beat Beignet while Praline keeps my anxiety up as she makes it down at what appears to be 80+ mph.

I actually overcame one of my fears this year by taking on a 3 1/2 mile downhill Green! Just so you'll know.... this Green is actually a Blue at other ski resorts. We had the awesome experience of skiing at two resorts this year with one being more difficult than the other.
Sadly, while we were at one of the resorts a 18 year old male, who was with his church group was killed while skiing. He ran into a tree and was killed on impact.

On a happier note, all is well with us and we are home safely....back to reality! Oh, and BTW Praline and I could not resist asking this snowboarder about his 16 year old locks. He gladly accepted our invitation to take a pic as the only lockers and AA's on the slopes! :) Click on the pic to get a closer look!

What a wonderful family trip! I hope you took advantage of the slopes and let the wind blow through your SL's. I love skiing! I am glad you and your family are back safely.

May the young male who passed due to his skiing accident rest in peace.

I'm glad you and your family had such a great time!

But going up to random strangers with locks?? You really are too much.

LOL!

Looks and sounds as though you had a wonderful time.
I'm going skiing for the first time next weekend; I'm growing more and more nervous by the day...

The pics are great. The Snowboarders locks also look good.

I feel so terrible for the young man that lost his life. I can imagine that probably made you even more anxious for your family.

Great vacation pics! I'm trying to go somewhere for spring break too, but I've had enough snow (we got 5 inches on the 16th!). I'm going to the warmth!

Girl, this looks like a wonderful trip. I've tried my hand at skiing, but was only brave enough to stay on the beginners runs. I had a hard time coordinating exiting the ski lift. Imagine what that looked like when I fell flat on my face :). I haven't been in a several years and hopefully the season is over here in Cleveland, sooo maybe next year!! I will keep the youngman's family who died in prayer. By the way you all were rockin' those locks.

Welcome back, Creyole. Thanks for showing me love on my fledgling blog. Your pictures came out great! They make me want to take up skiing again. The last time I went was as a kid, and it was a comedy of errors. I got scared at the top of the trail and had to be walked down by my father. But the skis were kind of heavy, and I ended up dropping one over the side of the mountain. The ski patrol found it the next day, so at least we didn't have to pay for it. :-P
