Wrap-A-Loc Class I

I had the awesome opportunity of taking the Wrap A Loc class given by inventor and instructor Sistah Nandi. Sistah Nandi has the most humble, pleasant, professional and spiritual personality and it was a pleasure to work with her as she shared and motivated each of on how to use her tool.

She began the class by introducing her special model Zandi, (spelling), Zandi's locks are actual locks that Sistah Nandi cut from her own head. Yes, she is not much into length so when she cut her locks she decided to use them to help with instruction in her classes. Cool huh?

During the class, Sistah Nandi allowed us to put the tools in our own hair and due to the several lengths throughout my head I had to use multiple sizes of the wrap tool. The four locks in the front are locks I put in myself...I think I did a ok job.

I was totaly impressed with such a wrap tool and I plan to wear mine for a couple of days before removing. These are my sample Wrap-A-Loc pics, more to follow....

I've been wanting to use wrap-a-loc. Unfortunately, I haven't heard of any classes in the Chicago area. Is it easy to use? Do you use any setting lotion, etc. I might just have to purchase the DVD and tools. I will decide once I see how your hair will come out.

Thanks for posting this. I was hoping that more info about this new tool would surface somewhere on the Net. Sounds to be very practical.

Looks very cool!

My hairdresser had some some in her hair the last time I went, but I didn't know that you could leave them in. It looks cute!

How long did it take, and how many locks did you use for each one?

Very cute. I hadn't realized just how long your hair had grown. Wow! I can't wait to see the second style once you remove the wrap-a-loc.

I've been curious about this for awhile! How do the curls hold? Being able to leave the tool in seems like a plus because a lot of times I don't style my hair because it takes so long to set it, I hate that I just have to get up and take more time to take the set down. And as my hair gets longer, the set doesn't last...
Please show pics of how set looks when you take the tool out.

Umm...How many of these do I need to set my big head? Can I teach myself from the written instructions? Should I get the variety pack or all one size? Do I ask way too many questions?

I met Sistah Nandi by phone inquiring about her invention. I usually catch her on the run in her car promoting her tremendous Wrap-A-Loc tool. I share your sentiments about her beautiful soul. I bought a package. I only use the WrapALock tool to curl my hair. I haven't gotten as good as you with the polished wrapped look. Awesome job BTW! I love my Sisterlocks and the Wrap-A-Lock tool! Can't wait for your pics with the tool out...You wear the tool very well!

I can hardly wait to see the results. Is it very difficult to do ? How long did it take to have your tools installed. I love the look... Waiting patiently.
